This dataset presents the wishes expressed by candidates for continuing studies and reorientation in higher education, as well as the admission proposals made by institutions for each program—excluding apprenticeships—at the end of the assignment process on the Parcoursup platform for the 2025 session (from January 15 to September 10, 2025).
The data is sourced from the Parcoursup 2025 platform and covers the entire campaign up to September 10, 2025. It is available as a downloadable database and as an interactive data visualization ("dataviz").
Note: This dataset was updated on March 9, 2026, to include the admission rate and the rank of certain programs previously unavailable.
A new dataset is now available to track apprenticeship programs: Parcoursup Apprenticeship – Wishes for continuing studies, reorientation in higher education, and institution responses.
This dataset is built from Parcoursup 2025 campaign data. The Parcoursup platform is the national pre-registration system implemented by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, enabling students to apply for admission to higher education.
It covers all candidates who submitted at least one validated wish during the main phase (PP) and/or the complementary phase (PC), across 14,252 non-apprenticeship programs. This includes 1,015,200 candidates in total. A subset of the data specifically focuses on the 652,800 new high school graduates among these candidates (including those registered with the Agency for French Education Abroad). New high school graduates are defined as students enrolled in the final year of French secondary education (terminale) for the 2024-2025 academic year, in general, vocational, or technological tracks.
This dataset is complemented by a "dataviz" tool that visually represents key indicators.
For each program, the dataviz displays the admission capacity, the number of wishes expressed by candidates, the number of admission proposals made by the institution, the number of candidates who accepted the proposal across all phases of the process, and the rank of the last candidate called during the main phase.

These key indicators are supplemented by a graph showing the pace at which candidates who enrolled in a program received an admission proposal. A detailed focus is also provided on the profile of new high school graduates who accepted the admission proposal for the program, including their type of baccalaureate, baccalaureate honors (including the aggregated "Très bien" distinction), whether they are recipients of secondary education scholarships, and their geographic origin.
This dataviz is designed as a complementary tool to help high school students applying through Parcoursup. It allows them to identify key characteristics of each program, including the profiles of admitted students and the pace at which admission proposals were made during the process.
Information is accessible by institution and program:
- Institution name and UAI number
- Region, academy, and department of the institution
- Program name (aggregated and detailed), and whether it is selective or non-selective
- Number of available places (admission capacity)
- Number of wishes received, broken down by gender and type of baccalaureate
- Number of wishes ranked by the institution, by type of baccalaureate
- Number of admission proposals made, by type of baccalaureate
- Number of admission proposals made at key dates during the Parcoursup campaign, which were subsequently accepted
- Number of admitted candidates, by gender, type of baccalaureate, and honors obtained
- Rank of the last candidate called in their group during the main phase
- Number of secondary education scholarship recipients for terminale students and higher education scholarship recipients for students reorienting
- Number of admitted candidates in BTS or CPGE programs who came from their original high school (i.e., the high school where they were enrolled in terminale)
Since 2021, the "Très bien" distinction has been detailed in two categories: "Très Bien (sans félicitations)" (average between 16 and 18) and "Très bien avec félicitations du jury" (average above 18). Additionally, the number of call groups has been reduced to three; the rank displayed on the Parcoursup map may exceed the number of ranked candidates for programs using shared call lists (identified by the "list_com" variable).
As in previous years, data from the Parcoursup website mapping tool has been included. Two additional indicators are available for all candidates for each program at the end of the file:
2025 Admission rate: The ratio of candidates whose rank is equal to or better than the rank of the last candidate called in their group to the total number of candidates who validated a wish for the program during the main phase (excluding GDD—a phase for redistributing vacant spots to new high school graduates without proposals). This rate accounts for all candidates who confirmed at least one wish in the main phase (terminale students, students reorienting, and those resuming studies). Not all candidates enrolled in the program, either because they withdrew their wish before receiving an admission proposal or because they chose another program after receiving multiple offers. A 100% rate means no candidate was left without a proposal for this program at the end of the main phase (excluding GDD).
- Distribution by type of baccalaureate of candidates who were in a position to receive a proposal during the main phase in 2025: Distribution by type of baccalaureate of candidates whose rank is equal to or better than the rank of the last candidate called in their group during the main phase (excluding GDD).
Only candidates enrolled in France or of European nationality are included in the calculation of these two indicators.
Only candidates enrolled in France or of European nationality are included in the calculation of these two indicators.
The calculation method for these indicators is identical to that of previous years.
/!\ These two indicators cannot be recalculated from the data available in this open dataset.
The dataset allows users to observe, for each program and institution in Parcoursup, the demand and satisfaction of that demand, the profile of candidates and admitted students, and other outcomes at the end of the assignment process.
Parcoursup is the national online portal for pre-registration in higher education. It is intended for anyone wishing to enroll in the first year of higher education, primarily new high school graduates, students reorienting, and international students. Candidates must submit and confirm wishes to receive an assignment. A candidate can make up to 10 non-prioritized wishes in the main phase. For some programs, wishes may be multiple: each multiple wish consists of sub-wishes, each corresponding to a program at a specific institution. This is the case, for example, for engineering or business schools participating in a national competition.
